· David Gatherer on the 27th – please send entries to Elaine asap!

· Faye Smith Show Prep Day 18th May - Faye Smith is a HOYS/RICS level judge, ride and conformation panel judge for BSHA and CHAPS judge. She has judged at BSHA National Champs, CHAPS Championships, RIHS, Hickstead Derby, TOYS and numerous county shows. Faye is also a BHS instructor (stage 3 coach) and enjoys helping and encouraging riders from all levels including those nervous or new to showing and will help add those final tweaks and add a bit of polish for the more experienced. A provisional outline of the day is given below but times will be confirmed once numbers are known:

10am - group of 4-6 riders; 1hr ridden showing session, to include tips on how to get the best out of your own horse, show ring craftsmanship, rider/horse turnout, the conformation/in hand phase, advice on what classes to enter and “what the judge is looking for” (Faye is happy to ride if anyone is competing in affiliated classes and would like feedback/help on improving ride for a ride judge).

11.00 - optional for anyone attending either session - 30 mins turnout session; how to present your horse for the conformation judge, how to disguise its weaknesses and enhance its strengths, tips on turnout to include plaiting, trimming, quarter marks and getting that “show ring shine” - both horse and human!

11.30 - group of 4-6 riders; 1hr ridden showing session, as before.

PM – If numbers allow another 1hr ridden session. Followed by working hunter prep or additional turnout help or trimming if required.

You can turn up in either you normal riding clothing or complete show kit, depending if you want help critiquing your turnout.

£25 per person to include both sessions (1.5hrs).

All entries to myself andrea.mcshannon@gmail.com or via FB Messenger and if you can include the following information: size and type of horse/pony, experience/level you are aiming at (complete novices up to hoys competitors is fine!) and if you would like to attend the WH prep session.
